Hot tank on ground floor Bathroom upstairs.

Hi I'm looking for a bit of advice. I've just got myself a new house and wanting to put the bathroom upstairs from down stairs into a small bedroom.

The hot tank is located down stairs and the cold tank is located in the roof space area.

I was wondering about water pressure for the upstairs bathroom and weather I will need a pump or not for the hot taps ? I plan on puttuing an electric shower so I wouldn't need alot of pressure, Does anyone know if this will work or will I have to put in a pump for the taps.. ?

Both hot and cold water water pressures in the gravity system is controlled by the position of the cold storage tank. The only effect the position of the hot cylinder should have is how much water you need to run off before hot water reaches the taps.

You will need to specify taps suitable for gravity systems - many taps are only suitable for mains pressure systems.
Adding a pump to increase the pressure is, IMO, a fix for a problem that should not occur in the first place if you use the correct specification brassware.

Electrically heated showers usually run direct from the high pressure mains water supply, not from the gravity system.
