hot tap banging

i have a problem with my hot tap everytime i run it it makes a banging noise does this mean i have an airlock and do i have to drain the system to get rid of it need help driving me mrs mad thanks

Is it a 'quarter turn tap'? Loose pipe work.

Try and close the tap very slowly, if it doesn't bang then as said, loose pipe work.

Do you have an isolating valve on the pipework leading to the tap?

If so, just turn it off a little bit (so the pressure is not as great) and it might help you with the problem.
