Hot Water air lock

After draining down a hot water system that up until now was working fine
to fit a new stainless sink in the kitchen, no hot water to any taps!
air lock? have tried opening all taps I have tried putting mains cold
water into the hot water system via a small length of hose pipe
between kitchen sink hot and cold drain cocks, no joy

Try connecting both washing machine valves together using one hose, as opposed to sending back through taps.

Thanks Gasman, that worked a treat, 30 sec on full blast with cold tap
and then I had hot water
