Hot water cylinder question

sorry I've just re-read it, gas safe engineers can notify new hot water cylinder installations through their website, but you don't have to be gas safe registered to fit one - but the install is a notifiable job to the local building auth.
Welcome to the UK - everything is notifiable, cant even scratch your arse without telling some council jobsworth
