Hot water doesn’t get hot & radiators get warm when running hot water.
Hi there – first timer here and looking for some help.

I have a Glow-Worm Compact 100p combi boiler.
When we use the shower (mixer tap type) occasionally it will suddenly go cold and to get it hot again we have to stop and re-start it.
Also we often find that if we run any hot water tap whilst the heating is on, the water doesn’t get hot at all. The only way we can guarantee having a decent shower in the morning is to not have any heating on – CHILLY!!!

When we run hot water the radiators upstairs get warm and I can hear water movement in the pipes that feed the downstairs radiators.
It is most obvious when we have a shower – I guess because the water is running for some time. Any Ideas??

Sounds like a diverter valve fault but probably more than just one fault.

I suppose the boiler has not been serviced recently?

I dont find them a very reliable model.
