just moved into the world of combi fault finding and wouold like some advice on poorm hot water performance please. main causes of poor hot water performance== diverter letting by into heating system, lime scale in plate exchangers , faulty or scaled thermistors, incorrect gas settings/supply. have i pretty much nailed it here or are there other issues which cause poor hot water preformance??many thanks

diverter valves which contain a large diaphragm can open initially and start to provide hot water briefly then due to small perforations back off. You mentioned rest. Most common after various dv causes is sludged primary plate heat x.
