Hi, my hot water seems to be coming on all the time. I have replaced a zone valve and the programmer but its still coming on nomatter what the programmer says.
From what im told its an s plan with a two port honeywell zone valve.

How many zone valves should i have and where should i look for them?
Any advice appreciated.

View media item 30391 You should have 2 of these, if they are Honeywell.
You said you replaced one and yet you ask where to find them!!
They are normally near the hot water cylinder
What was the original fault that made you replace what you did?

Hi, yes i did change the head on one. Didnt realise there were two valves. Problem is the water is on all the time.
I could only see one valve, next to the tank. Will the other valve be near the tank also?

In a proper system having the hot water on all the time makes little difference.

This is because once the cylinder is up to temperature the thermostat will turn off the boiler and pump!

Ok then, found the other valve. Its not a honeywell valve.
Not sure now if it is the valve. Turned both ch and water off at programmer and its working fine. Water goes on/off as it should when told from programmer.
When ch is on, heating fires up/down as the thermostat tells it to, but the water keeps firing up when the heating doesnt.
