Hi all. My builder has rerouted my domestic hot water pipes and now we cannot get the primary flow and return free of air. Interestingly He has joined both the cold feed and the vent pipe together comining into the boiler flow pipe. All schematics I can find show the cold feed coming into the return which would make sense to me. Any comments anyone? Thanks

"Domestic Hot Water" means the water coming out of the hot tap! Rerouting these pipes won't have any effect on air in the CH system. Presumably you really mean the flow and return from/to the boiler.

Joining feed and vent together in the flow pipe is OK, in certain circumstances, it all depends on whether the boiler manufacturer approves it.

What boiler do you have (make/model)?
Please post a photo or diagram of what the builder has done.
