Hot water without heat

I have another invention coming to mind.

If you were to pump water through pipe fast enough, then the friction against the pipe's walls should create heat. So, in theory, what sort of pipe and pump would you need to raise water by the going rate for domestic use?

Connect the pipe to a tubine generator and use the leccy to heat the water...
