Ok folks first post.

My Baxi Bermuda boiler is not heating up the rads, but the HW works fine. When I switch on the CH system it runs for 5-10mins then stops. Slight heat then cuts out. I'll reset the system, but then cuts out again. The temperature gauge never goes above 35 Deg c when it runs for that 10mins. Also the HW will then goes hot and cold whilst the CH is running, but works fine again when switched off.

My suspicion is that the pipes for that line maybe blocked with the black crud, unless there is some other internal malfuction i'm not too sure.

Cheers
Anji

when you run heating on its own with no h/w on does the boiler fire up?

We can only run the heating on with the hot water on. The hot water on it's own, but not the heating. The boiler does fire up when they are both on, but cuts out after 10mins.

Sounds like a pumped heating and gravity hot water system.
Check your pump is running(see FAQ's for this) If it is then a bit more investigation is required as it could possibly be a pipework restriction.
Check the pump 1st.
