Just had a combi boiler fitted and everything is fine and dandy apart from the hot tap in the kitchen (not sure about washing machine). The hot taps in bathroom are great , water pressure is high and hot, but downstairs although the water is hot the pressure is naff. It starts out ok as you turn the tap on (the flow you expect from a tap half on) but then as you switch it further round it starts sounding like its restricting the water and the flow does ont increase at all. All I can say re the piping is that the hot water like the cold has a flexi hose from the pipework, this does not seem related to the combi as the flow rate has always been low. Could be tap I guess. The odd thing is I expected after switching off the mains water that when switching on the hot tap I'd still get some water out of it until the water in the system had gone but it stopped completely straight away?????
Also can someone confirm that on combi's you have to wait for hot water for 20 secs or so, some I thought had hot water storage to a degree in them so you had hot water as soon as you requested it.
