Hi,

My wife was doing some washing and the breaker tripped. I flicked the breaker back on but the door would not open. I did some research on Google and found that it was probably the door lock that was broken. I managed to push the 'blob' on the back of the lock inside the machine. I have now replaced the lock with relative easy.

My problem is i now seem to have no power or the door locked light is not switching on and the cycle wont start. Before i replaced the lock i think we had power. I have changed the fuse in the plug too.

Please help!!! My wife will divorce me soon lol :( because i wont pay for it to be fixed and i cant afford a new one.

Many thanks

Assuming the new lock is connected correctly and the power on/off switch has not failed (does happen occasionally shorting out)

Quite often when the door lock fails it damages some tracks on the timer.
(The neutral return is the most common)

Easy to repair if you are resonably confident with a soldering iron or can take it to someone who is.

The tracks are to the front bottom of the timer unit so you will need to remove it after disconnecting the power.

Occasionally the wiring from the door interlock to the on/off switch or timer can chafe and short onto the casing or even break so worth checking.

WOW thank you so much for your super quick response.

I have taken the timer/circuit board out and found that there is damage to the tracks. Please look at my pictures.

So i think ive found the problem......now how do i fix it. Do i need to mend the track or can i attach the black wire shown in my picture straight to its location on the board??

thanks

Not showing any pictures but from experience you can just replace the blown tracks with some wire soldered on to bridge the blown section and 99% of the time they are hunky dorey.
