hotpoint aquarius wml730 problem

Hi I have a hotpoint aquarius wml730 that has stopped half way throygh cycle and the door lock light is flashing, if you press pause then restart it clicks as if about to initiate then the door light just flashes again.

Does annyone know what the problem might be and if there is a way of fixing it without calling out a repair man.
