Hi I have just gone to turn the dial for the length of time to dry and it just spins, its not catching. Can anyone tell me if this is fixable by a novice, and How, or how much I am likely to pay if I get someone out to fix it?? Thanks

The stem of the knob is broke that's all just need a new one. Or you can put a cable tie round the stem if its not fallen off.

thank you for that but how do i actually get into it to repair it. Any chance of step by step instructions please.

Just pull the knob off. Then you will see the stem on the knob broken. Replace knob or place a cable tie round the stem of the knob as a temp fix.
