My grandson poked in the start/stop button on the far right and it won't come out - consequently the m/c will not work.
How do I remove the top of the m/c to get behind the buttons, there are 2 screws at the back which I removed but I am afraid of pushing in the wrong direction

Remove the screws then the lid slides back then remove the consol panel. Screws are round the water bottle.

Rocks1...... Thank you very much for the info - the top needed a hefty push to slide it back. I then removed the panel and re-aligned the switches.
All the plastic bits used here seem very flimsy compared with the way machines were built hitherto.

It all works fine now - you have saved a couple of 85 year old pensioners a lot of money...........Dingley.
