Hi guys

Got a hotpoint FWD60 Dishwasher, 15 years old, used approx once or twice a week.

It has the Eco 45 light flashing. I pulled it forwards, tipped it 45 degrees, some water came out. Put it back up, tried it again. Now the 45c light doesn't come on, it starts, water fills, the tablet holder opens, then you can hear it humming, then you can smell a slight burning smell.

I opened the dishwasher and waters in their, and its steaming, but doesn't appear to have drained out. The arms are not spinning

I'm a boiler engineer so used yo fault finding, but never worked on a dishwasher.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of what to check?

Flashing light maybe error code.
Look it up
Forgive if you've done that already

Eco 45c light is flashing, that's all

Anyone have any idea?

Any hotpoint engineers on here?

Well I read online that eco light flashing means a leak inside causing a float switch to trigger at the bottom which starts the flashing light.
Drain water if any.
Run to identify leak. Fix.
That was from a quick Google. You might find more specific help.
Any water inside you can drain?
See if light stops
