Hotpoint Dishwasher issue

My Hotpoint dishwasher has suddenly decided to not wash properly. I have checked that both water 'spinners' are rotating freely and are not obstructed in any way.

Does anyone have any idea why they do not appear to rotate when in use.

During the wash sequence, I set them at a known point, reclose the door and check a couple of mins later. They are still in the exact same position.!!

Any assistance or ideas would be gratefully accepted.

circulation pump gone expensive

Check spray arms for crud blocking the the spray holes

Could be the start capacitor on the circulation pump (depends on appliance if fitted) usually found near or on the pump cost a couple of pounds not easy to test for correct value without a capacitance meter.

Thank you for your helpful suggestions. Problem appears to be cured. Think it must have been a slight blockage on the arms.
