I have a Hotpoint DWF32P dishwasher and at the end of the cycle there is still water in the bottom of the compartment (where the filters are). All filters are clean and there is no blockage around the filter area. I need to check the discharge pump but need advice on where to start, like how to access the pump. I don't want to remove anything I don't need to. I'm familiar with washer problems and repairs but never attempted a dishwasher before. Any advice would be appreciated.

The water stays above the filter level but below the door level. The machine does finish its cycle. I took the lid and left side panel off hoping to get to the pump and noticed a blockage in like a flat plastic vessel with water ways in it. The blockage was near the top near what looks like a non return valve? My guess is this valve keeps water in, but allows air in when emptying? I cleaned this out but the problem is still there. I couldn't work out how to access the pump.
