Help please!! My hotpoint has started leaving most of powder still in main wash drawer. Have put as little as possible in and spread it out to no avail, think it must have something to do with the water jets, but is this a big thing to repair??

Mmm, tricky. It's probably not a big thing to repair but it always costs. You could switch to tableted powder and place it on top of your wash at the back. These things dissolve quickly so it would do your fabrics no harm.

yes they will, some tablets have been known to leave marks on clothes.
i suggest a new inlet valve / check pipe is not kinked (inside m/c too)
