Washer dryer is working OK apart from the tumble drying cycle, machine rotates but does not heat. I think it may have something to do with filters or water resevoirs but do not have the instruction manual, anyone help?

yes call hotpoint.
your condensor is probably all full of fluff, causing it to overheat, taking over heat stat out

if not condenser blocked, check dryer fan is turning-wire often breaks on fan, this then causes toc (overheat stat) on heater box to go open circuit.

Thanks for your responses, I assume that the condensor is inside the machine? Do these overheat sensors reset themselves or do they need replaced?

The condenser is a large plastic chamber that is fixed to back of outer tub,the top of condenser is fixed to metal heater box with 2 screws/nut bolts.....The dryer stat has 2 spade terminals and is held to top of heater box with a metal spring clip.It should have a number on it to advise on temperature for cutout eg. 185C.

Sorry forgot to say stat does not reset itself-will need replacing if gone open circuit.
