It does stop filling but only after filling to near the top of the window. Any ideas?

I have emptied the pump

WMF940

I ask a question earlier about it but now the problem has changed o just filling up with to much water. Near the top of the door. I emptied out some coins etc from the pump but still no good

What would be the next place to look.

Think you mentioned cleaning the filter. Where would I find this?

If it drains in 40 seconds the pump and filter will be ok. Check the pressure pipe on the front right just under the lid, if it's rubbed on the cabinet it's poss got a split in it. It's the black pipe that runs from the top to the bottom of the drum.

Under the lid, it it easy to remove the lid? Sorry im a a boiler man Im used to having a manufactures info to tell you how to take things apart! The washing machines just tells to what soap to use haha

Yes two screws at the rear. Then a hard slap on the front lip and lid will slide back.

Thanks Rocks your a gent

Ill have a look at the pressure hose, if it is split is there any temp job I can do till I get the replacement part? Such as tape the split?

Yes you can tape it or a blob of silicone sealant on it. It's the same pipe that's in a boiler pressure pipe. On the pottertons it's at the back left on that boiler. You dont need to me to tell u that about boilers. :)

The black tube has a groove worn into the side of it caused by the ribing on the inside of the washer. There was no obvious hole in it but I have tapped it up and set it away. Fingers crossed!!

It wil have a hole if you pull it apart , it will be a pinhole size . That hole should be air tight.

When you change the tube how do you get at the bottom of it under the drum? Well the cycle seems to be working so far!

Pull it off. The other end is on the side of the drum held on with a cable tie. If you feel down the side you will know what I mean , it's attached to a small stalk on the drum and it justs pushes on

Well that didnt work. Think it was the crap tape I used. Iv started again with a mixture of gas paste covered over with insulation tape. Fingers crossed again.

THanks again for your help Rocks,

Where do you get the replacement hose from? Would manometer hose work? seems about the same bore?

It should do. As long as it fits over the pressure switch it should work.
