Hello,

My Hotpoint WD420 drum was full of water this morning after carrying out two washes yesterday with no problem. I pumped the water out but it quickly reappeared. It looks like it is the fill valve which is the problem. I have found one for around £35. Is this part an easy part to replace myself or is it best to get Hotpoint out and pay their call out charge instead?

Many Thanks,

Glyn

Before spending money you may want to just check water is not coming back up the waste hose. (normally dirty water)
That the PCB is not faulty (unplug the machine, does it still fill up)

The fill valves can be replaced easily enough with a little fiddling.
