Hotpoint WD62 Help Please

Hi all, my Hotpoint WD62 is now dead. We tried to start it on the wash cycle, and what usually happens is that after about 4 seconds there is a click and water starts to run into the machine.

This time the water started to run but only for a split second before stopping and then nothing at all since. No door light either. Fuse in plug is OK and so is water supply.

Any ideas?
