Hotpoint wf250 stops half way through cycle

Hi all.

As per subject title, my washing machine stops halfway through the cycle. I then have to switch the program to rinse and spin and run that to finish the wash. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Check heater , rinse valve and filter
