Hotpoint WF541 not working

my washing machine has stoped working (hotpoint WF541), when you press the power on, the light above it just flashes. The light continues to flash and the washer won't do anything.

Can anyone help? Please.

When you press the power on button all the lights flash once except 'extra rinse' and 'door locked' lights. But only the power on indication is left flashing on its own.

number lights on the left ie 2 and 4 . 1and 3 etc what ones are flashing these mean a error code

Yes, i know about the error codes and have a list of them but the only light that is flashing is the power on light none of the other lights are flashing.
