Hotpoint WMA 31 Door interlock malfunction

The light to indicate that the door is not locked is flashing indicating that the door interlock is not operating. Changed out for new one but still same result, indicating fault lies elswhere.

Does anyone have any experience of such problems and what to check for next. I am not calling out the Hotpoint engineer as it is a Minimum of £85 for the call out let alone what is required to fix, therefore will try myself as would rather put £85 towards another machine.

have you put the pipes back on the door interlock?

take one off and blow down it, now try the other one.

one you should hear a click or two, the other you should be able to blow strait through.

it may have only one pipe, with a t piece, but you should be able to blow down this no probs, what happens?
