hotpoint wmachine wma64 wont start as thinks its not locked

my machine is driving me nuts as i need to prepare for camp but the machine wont work i'm a cash strapped single mum please help me sort it out myself!
the door lock looks fine and stays shut but the programme doesnt click and kick into action the red light flashes to say it isnt locked.

how can i fix it

remove the lid and look on the back of the circuit board in the front of mc.poss conection block has come off .failing that top board has blown .

thanks but the other lights and buttons are all working as its telling me it cant lock. I wouldnt knwo what I was looking at on the circuit. i thoughtit would be the locking mechanism on the door?

how much do you think im likely to pay to have it fixed, scared ill get ripped off. i live in london

the top pcb is around 80 quid you can call hotpoint in all in charge 100.00 for parts and labour.or can you get someone to remove the lid and check for loose connection.

jeepers so annoying, these things happen when you least expect, tried to pull it out but couldnt budge it.

open the door place hand inside on the top and lift of floor about 2 inches and pull.
