Hotpoint WML 520

Hello All,

I have a Hotpoint WML 520 and the door will not open it is as though the Handle is broken.
There is no back pressure on the handle as before when it use to go Click to release the door, now it just moves backwards/forwards on the hinge.
Can anyone tell me how to get the door open so i can replace it.

Under the kickstrip is a tab. Pull it down that opens the door.

Can you explain where the Kickstrip is please.
Is it inside the machine or by the handle on the outside?

It's the long plastic strip at the bottom of the machine. Pull that off and in the bottom right hand corner is a tab. Unless you got a older model.

Hi Rocks,
I finally tried the plastic tab and it still didnt work.
I took the lid off the machine and with some bent pliers managed to release the door by pulling the hook back.
Dismantled the door tonight and found the the plastic handle was broken so just ordered a new kit.
