Hi All,

I hope someone can help me with this. I need advice on how to best economically purchase felt for my 8ft / 2.44m (wide) x 10ft / 3.04m(long) shed. The shed has a apex roof. The current felt is old and needs replacing, I will attempt to do this while the wife is at work LOL!

I see some DIY websites and other places sell felt is metres e,g. they sell rolls in 8m x1m; 10m x1m etc.

Please advise:

1) Where is the best place to buy this stuff
2) The type of product you would recommend
3) How best to purchase the rolls so it works out best with little waste

Thanks

at a rough guess 3x10'8" so 10m
roof plus 4" overlap at each end 10'8"

a six foot shed will be just over 7ft over the top so 4" overhang and a good foot overlap on the 2 joins

remember cheap shed felt is cheap and will last 3 to 5 years
proper green mineral roofing felt is heavy quite expensive but will last 10 to 25 years dependant on application
