How can I fix my Alpha 240p boiler problem?

Hi

Ever since we had a thunderstorm last week, the pressure guage on my boiler has gone from the green band when cold to number 3. We have drained the water out the radiator untill it goes back to the green band but as soon as I finish it goes back up to number 3 within 5 mins! I have been doing this every night since friday! Please help I cant afford a new boiler!

Thunderstorms have nothing to do with it.

Is the filling loop disconnected?

Does the pressure rise when boiler cold or when it is running for CH or HW?

I will check the loop tonight but this is happening when the boiler is cold

If the valve on the loop is letting, pressure will indeed rise to 3 bar.

Another possibility is failed HW heat exchanger but that is something to look at when all common items have been checked and verified.

ok thanks I have a look, can you confirm where the valve loop is not that technical?!!
