How can I fix my Hotpoint WML560?

Hi
Have read other posts describing same problem but am not confident enough to diagnose fault. Can anyone help?
Door locks and fill light (light 6 - when numbered 1 to 6, from bottom) comes on as normal but does not fill.
After 5 mins, light 6 begins to flash.
After further 5 mins, all lights along bottom flash and pump starts up.
Light 1 (door lock) stays solidly lit red. No other lights are lit or flashing.

What fault does this indicate? Thanks

Should also just mention: have tried several cycles including 'pump out' & 'Spin' and same thing happens. i.e door locks, cycle start light comes on (light 3 for 'pump out' cycle, & light 4 for 'spin' cycle) but nothing else happens.
Sometimes omits part where cycle start light is flashing.
But always ends with bottom row flashing and pump going after 5 mins or so. With light 1 (door lock) lit on steady red. With no further lights on or flashing.
