Extension completed 15 years ago, EPDM roof failed due to installation failure. Builder, architect both ghosted me so arranged for the whole roof to be repaired at our own expense. Had several quotes and the one who had the greatest appreciation of what had caused the initial failure got the job. The most expensive quote by thousands before anyone asks! 11 months later they started the job - Strip back existing roof repair the deck and install a second deck with a ventilation cavity and finish with a 3 layer torch on roofing system and new triple glazed roof light This is the finished roof before fitting the new glass.

This looks rough to me but I have no appreciation of a finished torch on roof (bauderflex). My main concern is the water just sitting on the roof.

I’m looking for guidance from someone with experience as currently I feel overwhelmed and slightly lost today. Is all of this just cosmetic or is this badly installed.

It doesn’t look the best imho. That said, I had to re-roof my new build property earlier this year. House is only 16 years old!
