How do I brighten up old gloss paint?

I've had a water leak from the flat above that has yellowed the gloss paint on a door frame quite a bit. I don't want to repaint it as i'm selling ther flat.

Is there any way to clean and brighten up the white gloss on the door frame?

not realy, unless you use some kind of abrasive cream, easier just to paint it, how long can it take?
