I know it is a stupid question, but here goes.

I have a 15 mm copper pipe that I have attached an isolation valve to. I now want to connect this to my tap, using a flexible hose. Two questions:

Can I connect the hose straight on to the end of the isolation valve's compression joint?

If so, how. I have been to screwfix and all the flexible hoses they sell seem to have the same diameter joints at each end. I thought it would be simple to find one with a 15mm at one end and 22 mm at the other. Am I being very stupid and missing something?

Am I being really stupid.

Are all tap connections the same diameter and therefore when screwfix flexible hose dimensions are 22mm x 3/4 x 300 x 13mm. The 22mm is referring to the end that connects to the pipe and not the tap?
