Hi,

My mom as asked me to fit her a fluorescent light on the ceiling at the bottom of her staircase. At the moment the only lighting there is a single wall light, operated by a single light switch.

She would like to keep the wall light , and preferably have the flourescent switching on either with it or from a seperate switch.

Could anyone tell me how to go about doing this.

I have basic knowledge of electrics. I have just fitted her some extra sockets, removed some dodgy wall lights in the bathroom, and fitted her some new wall heaters. So once explained to me i would be able to do this.

Thank you all in advance for any help.

Regards

Rob
