How do I fix this crack?

Hi,

There's a crack which runs down the roof line and velux window. I've had a plasterer in who taped and filled but the cracks come back again.
I've had a other guy out who said only guaranteed way is to remove all the plasterboard, put mire supports in, fix board to that and replaster. Obviously it's getting pretty pricey.

Anything else I can do / try?

Remove mesh tape.
Rake out joint.
Seal with gardz or quality PVA
Fill with toupret powder filler.
Use fibre fuse tape. It's way better than mesh and not as thick as paper. Also will sand vs mesh which looks terrible as seen in your photo.
Seen how that works out

Nice clear advice, thanks Wayners will give it a try. If it works it'll save me the £1800 I was quoted.

Another way, is to remove the tape, rake it out good and then pump in low expanding foam. Cut back the foam and fill with toupret. This method works a treat too...
