The lounge light is operated by a dimmer switch.
The bulb blew very soon after it was replaced (days)
I put a new bulb in - no light, tried same bulb in another fitting - ok.
With the fuse box off I looked at the wiring in the rose and in the dangling bit, and I am unable to see anything that looks wrong.
I looked inside the dimmer switch, the red wire was not secured sufficiently (not at all). I secured the wire yet the bulb still does not work.
Could the loose wire have been the cause of the short bulb life span? Could it have now damaged the internal bits of the dimmer switch?
How can I work it out?
