how do I open up a hotpoint aquarias 1100

Hi,

I'm pretty certain the interlock is dead, since it went through a period where I had to give the door an extra shove to get it started, and now it stopped completely.

Getting a replacement is easy, but how do I get at it? I worked out how to get the top off, that was easy enough (3 screws at the back), but after that I can't work out how to get any further in, getting to the interlock from the top is no fun!

Hope someone can tell me the next stage

No - there should be a retaining strap around the part that seals to the casing.

I've slightly misled you, because you don't need to fully remove the seal, just disconnect it from the case so you can get past it to work on the interlock switch.
