How do I remove old plaster?

Are you wanting to remove the plaster back to the brick/block surface?
If so try using a hammer and bolster or a drill with bolster/chisel attached.

You will be best off stating what your reasons are for removing plaster or what you are doing that way you will get more peoples advice.

I could maybe give more advice if i knew what you were doing.

Cheers

Steve

If you are fit and strong, or the plaster is old and crumbly, you can run round the room with a spade, ploughing it off as you go.

If the plaster is strong and you aren't, get a wide bolster and a club hammmer. Try to run the bolster (or spade) along the joint of the brickwork and the plaster, don't let it dig into the bricks.

Wear a dust mask.
