How do I remove these cable ties

Hi everyone,
I have cat safety grills fitted to my windows. The bars are quite far apart so for extra safety my Dad fitted plastic mesh over them, he attached it using cable ties but that was several years ago. The mesh is now ripped in a few places so I want to replace it. Can someone tell me how I can cut off the knobbly end bits of cable ties please? I've tried googling but only get told how to cut the long bit off when putting a cable tie on, not tying to remove one. They are too tightly fitted to get scissors under them, is there a cheap tool that I can buy that will snip them off?

Many thanks in advance

Toenail clippers will do it. Or, get a small screwdriver under them and break them. Grip them with pliers and twist them.

Side cutters?

Everyone has a rusty pair in the shed or draw?

BOENFU Precision Wire Cutter, 6 Inch Wire Flush Cutters Ultra Sharp Side Cutter Clippers with Longer Flush Cutting Edge, Ideal Wire Snips for Crafting https://amzn.eu/d/8LL1CJB

Something like this. Aim to snip the tie not the knobbly bit.

Thanks so much for all of your advice!
I ordered the cutters recommended by @Old Salt, they just arrived and are working a treat!
I also ordered some nail clippers as suggested by @Stivino but they didn't turn up so can't comment on how well they would've handled the job.

I'd just like to say I've recently found this site and for someone like me who hasn't done any DIY or handywork in their life it is a gamechanger! Thanks again everyone for being so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.... I really appreciate it!

Easy to slip with a knife, side cutters are good for cable ties.
Shame you've already bought some, they had them in lidl, 2 for a fiver
