I have an original black and white quarry tile floor that is in need of some restoration, but I want to clean the tiles first so that I can see what tiles need replacing. I have tried conventional cleaning products but they don't get the inground dirt out only the surface dirt, does any one know any specific or industrial product that you can use to give these old tiles a new lease of life?

Thanks
Curly

You can use acid to clean old tiles but cant remeber which one, hydrochlric maybe
Try calling a builders yard for brisk acid.
Be carfull though using acids because some will disolve the tiles and youself, wear gloves goggles etc.
Hope this helps ;)
