Hello,

I'm buying this house that has that bath tap on the bathroom.
How do you get access to it to remove it as I am not sure I can go underneath!

Do I have to rip off the bath to do it as if you remove the panels you are blocked by the depth of the bath!

Do installers believe that taps never break?!

You will no doubt have to take the bath out to remove / fit new tap. Designers don't seem to worry too much about ease of future maintenance !!

The taps are on really long flexi's or plastic pipe that allows it all to be fitted and then the bath pushed back. So yes, normally the bath needs to come out.

A clever trick they use these days is to use a easyfit/speedyfit tap, that allows the tap to be replaced from the top without disconnecting the mounting and pipes underneath. It does mean that the selection is limited to the specific manufacturer though.
