How is a bonnet roof supported over a bay window?

As per title.

There are no lateral walls in a bay window as it projects out of the plane of the wall of the house. Is this portion of the roof supported by the double-glazing in the bay transmitting the load to the ground floor bay window and ultimately the brickwork on the ground?
