Hello guys. My walls have just been plastered and was wondering how long it would take for it to dry and go light grey colour. When I wake up in the morning there is condensation on inside of windows which is not good. Also there is no heating. Is it best to use dehumidifier and or electric heater to speed up process? Or if windows are opened during night would there be less condensation. I do not want condensation building up because we know it leads to mould.

open the loft hatch

water vapour is lighter than air so it will rise up until it escapes.

ventilation is more effective than heat

open a downstairs window or door (or several) when you are at home and can keep burglars out.

So it's best to have air flow? How long will it take to dry then?

the majority of the moisture should be gone in the first couple of days.
it’s better to live with the condensation at the start as trying to dry out new plaster too quickly may cause shrinkage and cracking.

The walls are still brown in colour. Some patches are lighter. Nearly been a week. I assume it may take longer
