I need to know how many brick i wil need for this wall.

It is just going to be a gate in the middle with posts either side of it and the post at the end.

Here are the measurements.

The whole length without taking the gate into consideration is 20ft 8 inches.
The gate is 50 inches in height and 28 and a half inches in width.

I want the posts to be 3-4 courses higher than the wall.

And a double skin.

Anymore info needed ust reply.

The four post will be 50 inches high.

And the wall will be 3 courses less so 41 inches.

about 850 alowing for a bit of wastage and assuming you'll be using blockwork from the foundation up to ground level.

thx just one more thing if you dont mind i wat red on the top and a diamond on each wall do you know how many red brick to get?

Just divide the area by 60 and you should have coverd wastage
(60 bricks per square meter)

your next calculation should be One tonne of sand to 1000 brick
so divide the brick by the sand to find out how much sand you need, per tonne.

then divide the sand by your mix ratio

e.g. 5/1 Sand/Cement

to get the amount of Cement you need.

Dont forget to add Mortar Plasticiser, NEVER use Washing up liquid, this can cause "Efulesence" (white iceing like cristals on the face of the brick)

and cover up if it starts to rain.

Always wanted to know why there was white on the brick i thought it was the lime in the cement.

its 21 ft x 4 ft so thats roughly 7 sq meters . so going by calculation thats 450 for rough wastage.

Does anyone know any sites with wall designs on?

So it might be 850 but get 900 to allow for wastage?

Foundations are already in so i dont need to take them into account.
