I will be using scottish beech pebbles as a decorative stone size 20-30mm to cover an area of 40 square metres. The area has several gradients in it and as the depth will differ in places to level I am finding it hard to reach a quantity that I think I need - hence after being frustrated at using the various calculators (all coming out different did not help) I am here - where i normally get reassurance and common sense - thanks in advance
The depth will vary between 2 and 3 inches say about 70% 3 inches the rest 2 inches. I don't want to scrimp and would rather have a bit more than a bit less.
I think these bulk bags are about 0.85 of a ton (please correct me if I'm wrong - the merchants I have been pricing are never overly sure). I was thinking of ordering 6 bags - about 5.1 tons - does that seem about right?
