How many tonnes of Type 1 Ag. and Asdug to 1 cubic metre?

Hello...

Two questions....

(1) - If I had a 1 cubic metre hole and I wanted to fill it with Type 1 aggregate (compacted down!), how many tonnes would I need?

(2) - If I had a 1 cubic metre hole and I wanted to fill it with Asdug (compacted down!), how many tonnes would I need?

Any info assisting me in calculating tonnage of these materials based on their cubic metre volume would be very appreciated.

a cubic metre hole would require about 1.8 tonnes of compacted stone to fill it.

never heard of asdug?

we just order bulk loads of mot direct from a haulier. i will look at a site and gauge it by eye plus some extra. we always stone up the site perimeter so that bricklaying and walking the site is easier, so any stone left over goes around the outside.
