HOW MUCH CONCRETE

I plan to lay a concrete floor approx. 14 sqr metres depth of 100mm.Can you advise how much ballast I need working on a 5:1 ballast/cement mix?
I think this is about 1.4 cubic metres.I imagine something around 2 tonnes of ballast and 16 bags cement with some thing to spare .

3 tonnes of ballast.

20 dust.

mix it 6:1.

you will have a bit left over though, maybe a 1/4 tonne, so you could reduce the cement by a couple of bags.

Or, if you've got decent site access save yourself a whole load of agro and just get 1.5m3 of C20 readymix .

Thanks Noseall;I ordered 3 tonnes ballast and as you predicted I have some spare for next project.I was pleased to find that my cement now has a muchl onger date on it now it is in plastic bags.Great advice-thanks again
