Wondering if the cost would be worth it. Let me know what you think

Some people pay £90 for a pair of levi's others pay £6.99 from Primark. I'm sure each thinks it's worth it.

I get your point woody. I personally don't think it is worth the extra hassle though and think to a point there is such thing as 'too open plan' in some modern builds but I was just after some third party opinions from the folk on here

Opening up the corner loses privacy, especially with a dining room. Looks naff from outside for not much extra light, IMO.

Blup

Probably a lot - you'll have removed the entire of the rear wall of the house at ground floor so would probably need a frame to provide some stability to the back of your house.

Also good luck trying to find a 152 x 152 x 44 UC...

The rear window/doors, the roof lantern, the knock through, the room size are all randomly spaced and unbalanced, so I can't see what is going to be achieved other than a hotchpotch.

Where to put things hasn't been decided yet to make best use of space, . There will be plenty of light and why have doors the whole length of the house it's a bit excessive

what's left of the existing house can be neatened up/squared off and turnt into a cupboard

how could the knock through have been done differently? other than a steel going the whole length of the house with a frame new pad foundations and possible ground beams

It might be helpful if we saw the whole plan, us designer sorts do like to crit others proposals. Also depends if this is your forever home and you'll forever wonder for the next 30 years if spending a few extra £K now would have been sensible or not.
