Hi,
I was wondering how much a property (ie. an individual home) can be extended under the newish regulations?
Since 1948, there's already been two extensions to my home - the house has been extended 100 percent of the original size in 1948. Does this effect planning permission for future extensions? We want to put a very small single story extension to the back of our house that blends very well with the house.
Thanks!

you have no permitted development rights left you have long exceeded them
you need to ask you planning department but it will require the full planning regime with associated costs

Ok, thanks for the reply. Yes, I have sent off for planning permission, but I was wondering if I would get the permission as the house has been extended twice already.
Is there was any rule that says you can only extend a certain amount to a house?

all depends on where you are what size the plot is how near to the highway local conditions etc etc
so many variables for any one to even begin to guess :(
